When does GTA 6 come out?
On 19 November 2026, the official date announced by Rockstar Games after the delay from the 26 May 2026 window.
Why was the release delayed?
Rockstar explained it needed extra time to reach its quality bar. The game moved from "2025" to 26 May 2026, then to 19 November 2026.
Could GTA 6 be delayed again?
Nothing suggests it, but two delays have already happened. The 19 November 2026 date stands unless Rockstar says otherwise.

Platforms & hardware
Which platforms will GTA 6 launch on?
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only at launch. No PS4, Xbox One or Switch version is planned.
What about the PC version?
It has not been announced. Based on Rockstar's history (GTA V, RDR2), a PC port several months after the console release is plausible, but there is no official confirmation.

The game and its characters
Who are the main characters in GTA 6?
Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, the series' first playable duo. Lucia is also the first female protagonist of a mainline GTA.
Where is GTA 6 set?
In the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida, with Vice City as its main city — the return of the iconic 2002 setting, fully rebuilt.
Can you play both characters?
Yes, the story is played with both Lucia and Jason. Rockstar has not yet detailed exactly how switching between the two will work.

Buying & editions
Can you pre-order GTA 6?
Not yet: Rockstar has not opened any pre-orders or announced any editions. Beware of unofficial offers online.
How much will GTA 6 cost?
No official price. The most common assumption is the standard price for major console releases, around €79.99, but only Rockstar will confirm it.
